TAP Qualifications require assessment of competence

Merely attending a TAP course does not guarantee a TAP Qualification. There are no 'Certificates of Attendance' which would be incompatible with TAP's quality-assurance ethos. As will be seen from review of the Course Outline on every course page, delegates learn a portfolio of listed competencies drawn from the TAP Learning & Development Standards. They represent best-practice skills for the subject.

To achieve Certification, delegate competence is assessed to Assessment Profiles aligned to the Standards. This ensures that Certification only follows objective assessment of the trainer's relevant skills and is not based on subjective personal opinion. Assessment consistency provides an implicit guarantee of trainer performance back in the workplace.

The table shows, for each core Diploma module, the Assessment Profile(s) used, with the number of criteria assessed.

Heads of L&D value TAP's assessment models!

"We always struggled with how to evaluate our trainers in a fair, objective way.

We then partnered with The Training Foundation who used their TAP methodology to evaluate and train our permanent and associate trainers.

It has been superb and has really helped us evaluate our trainers and feed back to them in a pragmatic way.

I have no hesitation in recommending this evaluation method."
