The British Institute's International L&D Qualifications

The British Institute's International Standards for Learning & Development represent generic best-practice and are applicable to all learning & development functions, both in the UK and internationally. To support the adoption of these Standards and the development needs of L&D professionals across the globe, the Institute offers two online Certificate and Diploma programmes. 

These programmes comprise online, tutor-supported, self-study courses delivered by the Institute's partner, The Training Foundation. The courses are modules from the Queen's Award-winning Training Accreditation Programme (TAP) and ensure that delegates learn skills and competencies that are closely aligned to the Institute's Standards.

Successful completion qualifies delegates to join the Institute at a professional grade of membership.

The British Institute's Qualifications are outlined below

 

International Certificate in Training    post-nominal letters; BILD.cert

Training practitioners anywhere in the world are able to enrol on the British Institute for Learning and Development International Certificate in Training. This comprises two online courses, here are the course outlines;  The Theoretical Basis of Learning   and   Delivering Training to best-practice Standards.

Successful completion and assessment of both tutor-supported, online self-study courses qualifies delegates to apply for Associate level membership of the Institute.

The cost of the Certificate programme is £1,490 +vat per person, which includes UK-based assessment and first year Associate Membership of the BILD.

Following completion of the Certificate, enrolment on three additional courses can lead to achieving the British Institute for Learning and Development International Diploma in Learning and Development (see box below), which qualifies holders to join the Institute at full Member level.

International Diploma in Learning & Development post-nominals; BILD.dip

International L&D practitioners who are looking to achieve a prestigious, internationally-recognised L&D Qualification, are encouraged to enrol on the British Institute for Learning & Development's International Diploma in Learning and Development.

The Diploma comprises five tutor-supported, online self-study courses – here are the course outlines:

The Theoretical Basis of Learning
Delivering Training to best-practice Standards
Analysing Training Needs to best-practice Standards
Designing & Developing Training to best-practice Standards
Developing Blended Learning programmes to best-practice Standards

Successful assessment on completion of each tutor-supported, online self-study course qualifies delegates to receive the British Institute for Learning and Development International Diploma in Learning and Development and to apply for full membership of the Institute.

The cost of the Diploma programme is £4,350 +vat per person, which includes UK-based assessment of competence achieved in each course and first year full Membership of the British Institute.  N.B this cost is reduced to £3,400 +vat for holders of the BILD International Certificate in Training.

All TAP courses can be run
anywhere in the world

 

TAP courses have been run in more than 20 Countries.   Also, L&D professionals in even more Countries have chosen to study their TAP courses online.
