Assess your own trainers
Why assess training delivery?
You will only realise the full benefits of the TAP Learning System if you utilise the Assessor Programme. It offers valuable benefits:
- regular assessment of training events to objective best-practice ensures consistent, high-quality training across all learning activities
- objective assessment is a useful tool for planning professional development
- it enables monitoring of external training to ensure consistency of learning experiences
Programme Controls
Participation in the Assessor Programme is only open to TAP Partners, who have made a formal commitment to adopt the TAP methodology – see partners
As many employers now require all internal and outsourced training to be from TAP-certified trainers, it's important that certified assessors apply consistent standards.
- Nominees for assessor training must hold a current TAP Certificate in Training Delivery Skills
- Nominees must successfully complete the Certificate in Assessing Training Delivery Skills
- Nominees are required to sign a Code of Conduct prior to attendance, counter-signed by their line manager
- Certified Assessors wishing to maintain assessor status are required to attend an annual Verification Day
- Certified assessors receive telephone/email support from The Training Foundation throughout the year
