CeLP is integrated into the TAP Skills Programme

Since 2000, The Training Foundation has been Europe’s leading provider of e-Learning skills programmes, delivered online, where the medium has indeed been the message! Our Certified e-Learning Professional programme (CeLP) was the only certification programme for e-Learning professionals accredited by the European Institute for e-Learning (EIfEL).

In 2000, e-Learning tended to be a separate strand of L&D provision and CeLP provided a unique professional development track for specialists, taken up by more than 3,000 students from 16 countries.

What's changed?

The Training Foundation always believed in, and promoted, e-Learning as an essential component in L&D strategies, not as an end in itself.  We are delighted that e-Learning is now firmly embedded in the learning strategies of most UK employers so relevant skills are now needed by all trainers. The e-Learning medium should be a valuable tool in the L&D bag, not an end in itself.  From January 2006 the e-Learning skills courses were integrated into the TAP framework.  All were reviewed, updated and streamlined.

All certificates and diplomas now bear the TAP insignia. As before, they are issued by the programme’s awarding bodies, the Institute of IT Training and/or EIfEL at the option of the delegate.

You can download a copy of our Qualifications Prospectus in Adobe Acrobat Format via the link below (call us to request a hard copy or seek specific advice).  In particular, the Foundation in Blended Learning course should be on the development list of all trainers – developed by Clive Shepherd, it gives an excellent appreciation of when and how e-Learning can add value.

What's New?

With effect from January 2006, all certificates and diplomas will bear the TAP logo, not the CeLP logo. As before, they will be issued by the programme’s awarding bodies, the Institute of IT Training and/or EIfEL at the option of the delegate.
