Queen's Award for Innovation

null

HRH the Princess Royal visited the Coventry training centres of The Training Foundation to present a Queen's Award for Enterprise: Innovation. The Innovation Award recognised the creation and continuous development of the Trainer Assessment Programme (TAP) by The Training Foundation since 1998 and its proven success in raising the quality of training.

It was a particularly notable event because The Training Foundation is the first training organisation to be awarded the UK's most prestigious business accolade in the 40-year history of the Queen's Awards for Enterprise. In attendance were leading figures including the Chief Executives of UfI, the Adult Learning Inspectorate, the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement and various Sector Skills Councils.

TAP has been adopted by more than 1,200 organisations since its launch in 1998 with more than 20,000 trainers across all strands of the public and private sectors now certified to deliver and design training to its standards.
