Why have in-house, certified training delivery Assessors?

You will only realise the full benefits of the TAP Learning System if you are participating in the Assessor Programme! It offers unique and valuable benefits:

• regular assessment of training events to objective best-practice ensures consistent, high-quality training across all your learning activities
• objective assessment is a useful tool for planning professional development
• a consistent standard enables objective monitoring of externally-sourced training to ensure consistency of learning experiences for your people

Programme Controls

Participation in the Assessor Programme is only open to our TAP Partners, who have made a formal commitment to adopt the TAP methodology – see http://tap-training.com/page/about/partners.html

As TAP becomes a de facto Standard, with many employers requiring all internal and outsourced training to be from TAP-certified trainers, it is essential that all certified TAP Assessors operate to a uniform and consistent standard.

• Candidates to be trained as in-house Assessors must hold a current TAP Certificate in Training Delivery Skills
• Candidates must successfully complete the Certificate in Assessing Training Delivery Skills
• Candidates are required to sign a Code of Conduct agreement prior to attendance, signed also by their line manager
• Certified Assessors wishing to maintain their assessor status are required to annually attend an Assessor Verification Day
• Assessors receive telephone/email support from The Training Foundation throughout the year
