TAP Certificate in Facilitation


Introduction

This course provides delegates with the skills to facilitate events such as focus groups, workshops, action learning sets, team meetings, briefings, business improvement meetings etc.  It is a core course within the TAP Diploma in Learning Facilitation and an elective for the TAP Diploma in L&D Consultancy and the TAP Diploma in L&D Management.

Delegates learn how to open and close an event including subtle language patterns which help build rapport with a group and influence a positive outcome. They learn a variety of facilitation methods and processes which can be used as appropriate to the outcome required.

They also explore resistance to change and a range of challenging behaviours. The course focuses on strategies to manage these behaviours within the group or on a one-to-one basis. Delegates learn how assertiveness and cooperation play key roles in handling conflict. They also discover how action learning sets work in practice and have an opportunity to participate as a member of a set.
