Learning Strategies Workshop for Heads of L
Introduction
Important business drivers are now leading many employers to take training quality very seriously indeed. Learning and Development is becoming far more strategic and complex than ever before. At the same time heads of Learning and Development are often increasingly isolated from fellow professionals fulfilling a similar role in other organisations.
This workshop builds on the everyday work of The Training Foundation’s Professional Services practice, which works with a range of world-class organisations, assisting them with the implementation of robust externally benchmarked learning and development strategies, standards, processes and procedures.
This dynamic and groundbreaking two-day workshop for organisational Heads of Learning is built around the four-step formula that guarantees success for anything in life!

The workshop is led by a senior panel of facilitators from The Training Foundation including Director of Blended Learning Clive Shepherd; Chris Sutton, Development Director and a former Head of L&D for Halifax Retail Bank and our Director of Professional Services, Adrian Snook.
Participants will get the opportunity to develop a Learner’s Charter which is endorsed by all event participants and take this externally benchmarked document back to their own organisation. Day 1 concludes with a formal Workshop Dinner where you can network with fellow participants from other public and private sector organisations.
Day 2 examines strategies for embedding a Learning Culture together with an examination of best practice for Learning Standards, Governance and Effective Learning. All attendees will leave with a set of actions which they can implement to make change happen.
