The Housing Benefit Training Team lead by Di Worth was formed in December 2006 to meet the training and development demands of a busy Housing Benefit Processing Team, supporting the learning of around 70 staff. The importance of training and getting it right was recognised and a suitable solution for development of the Training Officers was sought.
 
The TAP programme was recommended to us and the Team attended the Certificate in Training Delivery Skills course in June 2008, to ensure that the training we were to deliver was focused, stimulating and fun with the desired outcome of more effective learning and development.
 
The new style is being welcomed by both our own team, other departments within the Council and our external partners.
