Imagine becoming recognised as a TAP® Partner and qualifying for the TAP® Quality Mark.  This unique Quality Mark has become a insignia  for training excellence and innovation.  The Training Foundation who won the Queen’s Award for Innovation and Enterprise in 2005 has incorporated the Queen’s emblem panel into their quality mark.  Being a TAP® Partner gives us the kudos, the quality mark, the high level of dedication demanded, and the expertise it exemplifies.  What a feather in the cap!

That is just what the specialist IT Training Company, Merrill Consultants Ltd., has recently achieved by being awarded the TAP® Certificate in Training Delivery Skills. The Queen’s Award for innovation and enterprise recognises the creation and continuous development of The TAP® Learning System by The Training Foundation since 1998.  The Training Foundation has proven its success in raising the quality of training across the spectrum of both private and public sector organisations.

To attain TAP® Partner status required Merrill Consultants Ltd. to prove by demonstration and commitment that the quality of its training courses met the standards for which The Training Foundation was honoured with the Queen’s Award.

Based on extensive research into best practice, The Training Foundation developed a measurable model for training delivery. The Trainer Assessment Programme (TAP) blueprint assesses the performance of a trainer in the classroom against best practice frameworks for the Structure of the session, the delivery Style employed and the balanced use of trainer Activity. Training Delivery Certification is accredited by ABC, a QCA independent Awarding Body.

The NHS has recommended TAP certification in their publication 'Professional Qualifications for NHS Health Informatics Specialists' calling it "a de facto standard in the UK".
