The ICT Training Unit is an integral part of the Police College Northern Ireland. The college Vision is “To be recognised leaders in police training and development” and Purpose “To support and improve policing through quality training and development”

Charged with fulfilling the technological training requirements of a highly scrutinized and dynamic organization it is essential that we deliver effective, efficient training to a recognized standard. The adoption of TAP® methodology has ensured that we are fully equipped to achieve these goals. 

All our police trainers are now TAP® certified and the unit has it’s own qualified TAP® assessors.  The drive for continual development and innovation has inspired trainers to complete a variety of invaluable qualifications through the Training Foundation.

The Institute of IT Trainers and the Training Foundation hold a unique place in the world of IT Training and the PSNI ICT Training Unit are pleased and proud to be associated with them.
